Job summary

Atlantic Partners Corporation seeks a senior Principal, Model Risk Management to lead governance, oversight, and validation of the company’s model risk program. You will collaborate with Finance, Risk, Technology, and business lines to ensure models are properly identified, governed, validated, and monitored throughout their lifecycle.

You will coordinate external validation activities, assess methodologies and data quality, and provide independent challenge to management and governance bodies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Risk Management, or related field.
• Master's degree is preferred for advanced qualifications.
• At least 10 years in model risk management or related fields with progressive responsibilities.
• Experience designing, administering, validating, or overseeing Model Risk Management programs.
• Experience with AI/ML and emerging risk practices is desirable.
• Ability to independently validate models and challenge methodologies and data.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate independent model validations and periodic reviews by external providers.
• Develop risk-based validation schedules based on model risk and complexity.
• Execute end-to-end validation activities including design, data, and performance assessment.
• Document results and communicate findings and remediation needs to management.
• Provide independent challenge on methodologies, assumptions, and controls.
• Prepare model risk reporting for senior management and governance forums.
• Maintain oversight of model inventory and risk classifications.
