What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Write Python code to independently replicate end-to-end model development activities
- Assess model documentation for completeness and conceptual soundness
- Independently write model validation reports and memos related to model risk management
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships with model analysts, business level risk management teams, and auditors
- Support the lines of business in maintaining an accurate model inventory and managing model-related responsibilities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in risk analytics OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in risk analytics
- Strong coding skills in Python and SQL for model and data exercises
- Proven experience in model development and validation activities
- Strong quantitative skills specific to econometric modeling techniques
- Excellent writing skills for drafting validation reports and communications
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s (MS/MSc) or Doctoral (PhD) Degree with a quantitative focus, such as mathematics, physics, statistics, or engineering
- Experience working in a large financial institution
- Recent hands-on experience with econometric and data coding exercises
- Familiarity with key aspects of model risk management
- Strong meeting management skills, including leading discussions with senior stakeholders
