Job summary

Trideum Corporation seeks a Senior Model-Based System Engineer to support Modeling & Simulation and systems engineering for the C5ISR RTI at Fort Belvoir, VA. This full-time role entails documenting architectures, deriving system requirements, and ensuring interfaces across components with formal test plans.

You will collaborate across teams, maintain traceability, and contribute to successful testing of in-house and COTS/GOTS elements in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Systems Engineering or related technical field with 7–12 years of experience, or MS/MA with 5+ years.
• Experience using Cameo or MagicDraw (or similar).
• Experience in Windows and Linux/Unix environments with Office/SharePoint repositories.

Responsibilities

• Document the as-is architecture and execution environment for existing projects using Cameo or MagicDraw.
• Decompose user requirements into system and software requirements.
• Develop interfaces between system components and document interoperability standards.
• Develop test plans/procedures to verify requirements in-house and with COTS/GOTS components.
• Maintain two-way traceability between requirements and tests and support test execution.
• Communicate findings clearly in teleconferences and meetings.
• Adapt to a dynamic, changing team environment.

Trideum Corporation has an opening for a Senior Model-Based System Engineer supporting the C5ISR RTI at Ft. Belvoir, VA. This is a full-time position, located at Ft. Belvoir, VA. Occasional telework will occur with coordination with the senior corporate site lead.

What You’ll Do

Senior Model-Based System Engineer will support Modeling and Simulation and systems engineering activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Documenting the “as-is” architecture and execution environment for existing projects with tools (Cameo/MagicDraw).
• Decomposing user new requirements into system and software level requirements to specify system and software functionality.
• Understanding interoperability standards, specifications, and protocols to develop and document interfaces between selected system-level components.
• Developing test plans and procedures intended to verify the implementation of system requirements in both in house developed and COTS/GOTS components and the overall system.
• Documenting two-way traceability between requirements and test procedures, both to ensure test coverage of all requirements and to correlate issues discovered during testing to requirements that are not satisfied within the system under test.
• Supporting test execution, tracking test results, and documenting issues discovered within the system under test.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clearly present technical approaches and findings in teleconferences and meetings.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and continually changing group setting

Required Qualifications

• BS/BA in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related technical field and 7-12 years of professional experience, or MS/MA in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical field and 5+ years of professional experience.
• Experience working with tools like Cameo and MagicDraw (or similar)
• Experience working within Windows and Linux/Unix computer environment with Office and SharePoint repositories.
• Experience specifying requirements and/or developing and executing testing of computer-based software systems

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with, or exposure to U.S. Army models and simulations.
• Experience with, or exposure to, requirements management processes and practical application of those processes to real development projects.
