Job summary

RSS Mobile Trailer Repair in Joliet, IL is seeking an experienced Mobile Trailer Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic to diagnose and repair semi-trailer systems. The role emphasizes self-motivation, safety, and clear communication with customers and teammates.

You will work a Monday–Friday daytime schedule, with overtime after 40 hours, and enjoy quarterly bonuses, paid holidays, 401(k), and opportunities for advancement from within.

Qualifications

• Must be an experienced trailer mechanic.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose all trailer systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers and parts, including but not limited to: ABS, frame, body, doors, tires and electrical systems.
• Independently motivated professional, dedicated to providing top-notch service.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers.
• Properly operate the mobile Service Truck.
• Follow all safety requirements while servicing trailers and while driving the Service Truck.
