Job summary

VAS is seeking a Senior Mobile Software Developer to modernize the React Native FeedComp platform. You will tackle offline-first architecture, BLE device integration, and responsive performance to serve dairy operations worldwide.

You will design, implement, and optimize mobile features, mentor peers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions that work well offline and online, including on farms with limited connectivity.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional mobile application development experience.
• Experience designing scalable, maintainable mobile apps with strong architecture.
• Experience enabling offline connectivity with local data storage and sync strategies.
• Experience integrating BLE or similar hardware communication into mobile apps.
• Native Android or iOS development is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile environments using Jira, Gitflow, and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to mentor developers and lead technical initiatives across cross-functional teams.
• Interest in learning about agriculture and leveraging technology to improve farm operations.

We're looking for a Senior Mobile Software Developer to help modernize and evolve our React Native application into a best-in-class mobile platform. This is an opportunity to solve challenging engineering problems involving offline-first architecture, Bluetooth device integration, synchronization, scalability, and performance while helping shape the long-term technical direction of the product.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of professional mobile application development experience, including strong expertise with React Native
• Experience designing and building scalable, maintainable mobile applications using sound software architecture and engineering best practices
• Experience developing applications that support intermittent or offline connectivity, including local databases and mobile synchronization strategies
• Experience integrating Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or similar hardware/device communication into mobile applications
• Native Android or iOS development experience is a plus
• Experience working in Agile software development environments using Jira, Gitflow, and modern CI/CD practices
• Demonstrated ability to mentor developers, lead technical initiatives, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
• Interest in learning about agriculture and leveraging technology to improve farm operations
