Job summary

Hatchit, in partnership with VIA, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Mobile to craft secure, high-performance native mobile apps for iOS and Android. You will balance world-class security with intuitive user experiences, tackling performance and security challenges in high-stakes mobile development.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure data handling, cryptography-backed protections, and robust API integrations, while leading best practices and technical guidance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience shipping native mobile apps.
• Proficient in native iOS (Swift) and native Android development.
• Experience with mobile security features incl. Secure Enclaves.
• Knowledge of cryptography basics and secure data handling.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end development, testing, and deployment of native iOS and Android apps.
• Maintain performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compatibility across devices/OS versions.
• Architect and implement security-focused features using native mobile security frameworks.
• Handle secure data storage, including Secure Enclaves or equivalents.
• Apply cryptography principles for data protection and secure communication.
• Integrate backend microservices and secure APIs into mobile apps.
• Provide technical leadership in mobile development to ensure high standards.
• Explain complex designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with UI/UX and backend teams for seamless functionality.
• Uphold mobile development best practices, code reviews, and automated tests.
