Giga AI, Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own iOS and Android SDKs used by customers to embed Giga's chat and voice agents into their mobile apps.

You will shape architectural decisions for UI surfaces, animations, voice interactions, and performance, elevating engineering quality across the team. This role requires shipping code and owning mobile infrastructure, while collaborating with design and web frontend teams to define next mobile experiences and integrated native flows that

Qualifications

• 8+ years of native iOS (Swift) engineering experience with shipping complex apps or SDKs at scale.
• Strong opinions on clean SDK and API design, and empathy for external developers.
• Able to turn vague product requirements into fluid, responsive mobile experiences with limited guidance.
• Deep UX sensitivity, focusing on motion, gestures, and accessibility to feel 'just right'.
• Understand iOS platform capabilities and push them toward advanced features like voice routing and app extensions.
• Hands-on contributor who ships code, not only reviews.

Responsibilities

• Mobile SDK architecture: design, implement, and evolve native iOS/Android SDKs for embedding agents in client apps.
• Deep OS integrations: manage voice routing, background execution, notifications, and app extensions to feel native on device.
• UI & performance excellence: ensure smooth animations, low latency, and resilient offline behavior.
