Family Dollar seeks a Mobile Application Developer to join its tech team at the Chesapeake, VA Store Support Center. The role requires 3+ years of mobile development experience, building apps for iOS and Android with React Native, collaborating with UI/UX and backend engineers.

You will drive code quality, oversee deployments, and lead contributors as the team evolves. Relocation is offered within the Hampton Roads area; strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of React Native, hooks, and lifecycle.
• Experience with complex routing using React Navigation.
• Solid grasp of Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or Context API.
• Experience with Android Studio and Xcode.
• Experience with mobile CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab Actions).
• Git workflows and repository management.
• Experience with Firebase Crashlytics or similar.
• Experience implementing push notifications and deep linking.
• Experience integrating mobile apps with ecommerce, loyalty, authentication, and backend systems.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Mobile Development, or related field.
• 3+ years professional mobile app development.
• Experience migrating React.js web apps to mobile.
• Familiarity with offline data storage and SQLite/Realm.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills to mentor team members.
• Knowledge of Oracle Commerce a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cross-Platform Development: build pixel-perfect UI in iOS and Android using React Native.
• Performance Optimization: diagnose bottlenecks and improve native-like speed.
• API Consumption: integrate RESTful or GraphQL APIs and handle async workflows.
• App Store Management: manage submissions to Apple App Store and Google Play.
• Code Quality Assurance: maintain clean code and write automated tests.
• Code Review: review code from the support team.
