Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment in San Mateo, CA is seeking a Senior Software Quality Engineer for Mobile Applications. You will define mobile test strategies, drive end-to-end quality, and leverage automation to improve testing across iOS ecosystems.

You will work with engineering teams to create comprehensive test plans, execute manual and automated tests, and expand automation coverage in CI/CD environments. Strong experience in Appium, Python, and CI/CD tooling is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of UI, API, and end-to-end testing experience with iOS mobile testing in particular.
• Experience defining test strategies and creating test plans.
• Experience with mobile automation frameworks and Python-based automation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Strong analytical, debugging, and ownership mindset.
• Excellent collaboration across distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end mobile app testing and define test strategies.
• Review requirements, UX flows, and system designs to craft test plans.
• Collaborate with SDETs and dev teams to identify automation opportunities.
• Triage issues by analyzing logs, root causes, and verify fixes.
• Validate API interactions with backend services via integration tests.
• Drive improvements by identifying gaps and tooling/process enhancements.
• Review automated test coverage and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Work in an agile, distributed environment with multiple stakeholders.
