Job summary

Pi-Square Technologies LLC in Detroit seeks an experienced Mobile QA Engineer to provide daily manual QA support for native iOS and Android applications. You will drive rigorous test planning, regression testing, API validation, and specialized testing (security, accessibility, performance) aligned with bi-weekly release cadences.

The role requires 5+ years of mobile QA experience, strong API testing, and hands-on test-planning skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5++ years of professional experience in mobile QA.
• Proven manual QA testing for native iOS/Android apps.
• Strong knowledge of API testing and systems validation.
• Hands-on experience writing/executing test plans and cases.
• Proficiency with TestRails for test management.
• Experience using JIRA for defect tracking and reporting.
• Experience with regression testing methodologies and release cycles.
• Familiarity with security and accessibility testing on mobile platforms.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily QA testing to support mobile development efforts.
• Execute regression testing for bi-weekly and ad-hoc releases.
• Validate upstream and downstream systems and APIs.
• Perform security, accessibility, and performance testing on native apps.
• Develop comprehensive test plans aligned with feature development.
• Test across Golden Path and Non-Golden Path user scenarios.
• Log, track, and manage defects in JIRA; update results in TestRails.
• Collaborate with SDETs on automation priorities.
• Participate in weekly/monthly progress reporting.
• Test on iOS 17.4+ and Android 9+ devices (native apps only).
