Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior Mobile Maintenance Leader / Field Service Leader to oversee a our mobile maintenance team operations. Our dynamic team of mobile technicians are experienced in a wide variety of services including light construction, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general preventative / reactive maintenance. As a key member of our Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) team, the Senior Mobile Maintenance Leader / Field Service Leader will provide operational leadership, field support, and technical expertise to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality service delivery across our portfolio of client sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, coach, and supportively manage a team of mobile technicians to ensure consistent performance, coverage, and response times across our customers
- Act as a technical resource, offering guidance on trade best practices, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Develop the leadership and trades skills of our mobile teams to support their career success
- Coordinate work order assignments, ensure timely completion of tasks, and validate field documentation and close-out procedures.
- Implement and uphold safety standards, regulatory compliance, and quality control for all mobile field operations.
- Monitor KPIs, technician productivity, and service outcomes to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with dispatchers, facility managers, and subcontractors to coordinate bundled service visits and reduce travel inefficiencies.
- Assist with onboarding, field training, and trade development for new and existing technicians.
- Provide frontline support for escalated service issues and client communications as needed.
- Support asset tracking, parts management, and mobile inventory controls for field vehicles and toolkits.
- Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and labor planning based on workload demand and service SLAs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in building trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or multi-skilled maintenance); at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong working knowledge of facility systems, diagnostic tools, and repair standards across multiple trades.
- Prior experience managing dispersed or mobile field teams in a fast-paced service environment.
- Proficiency in work order systems, preferably in a CMMS or field service platform (e.g., Dynamics 365, ServiceNow, Corrigo).
- OSHA-10 or 30 certified; additional trade licenses or certifications preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience in integrated facilities management, multi-site operations, or retail/commercial environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead field teams with a customer-first mindset and a focus on accountability.
- Capacity to manage competing priorities, emergency response, and technician development simultaneously.
