Job summary

Google’s Mountain View team seeks software engineers to build next-generation technologies at scale, spanning information retrieval, distributed computing, AI, and mobile platforms.

Engineers may switch teams and projects as the company grows, with compensation reflecting skills, experience, and education. Interviews are predominantly in-person as part of the process, with preferred locations including Mountain View, Palo Alto, San Bruno and Sunnyvale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience programming in Objective-C, Swift, or C++.
• 3 years of experience with iOS application development.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with large-scale application design and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Write and test product or system development code.
• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and impact on operations.
