Job summary

Olo is seeking an experienced Senior Android Engineer to help shape the next generation of the Olo app. You will own mobile features from concept to delivery, collaborating with product and backend teams in a remote NI setup.

Lead code reviews, mentor peers, design scalable architectures, and implement testing automation while maintaining high-quality Kotlin Android code and robust CI/CD pipelines. This full‑time role offers remote work from Northern Ireland, with a strong engineering culture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/software engineering.
• 5+ years in software engineering with focus on native mobile development.
• Advanced proficiency in native Android development using Kotlin.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end automated testing.
• Leadership skills: mentoring, technical discussions and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex Android features end-to-end from concept to delivery.
• Lead code reviews and set quality standards across the team.
• Collaborate with Product and other stakeholders to refine requirements and architecture.
• Drive performance optimizations and resilience in production services.
• Participate in on-call duties and incident response.
• Contribute to architecture and design of distributed mobile systems.
• Improve development processes and tooling with automation enhancements.
• Ensure shared components and APIs are consistent and well-documented.
