Job summary

Cogwear, Inc. seeks a Senior Mobile Software Engineer (iOS & Android) to lead development of a high-precision physiological monitoring platform. You will port Android features to iOS, enhance AWS cloud telemetry, and ensure robust data acquisition from EEG headbands via BLE and USB.

The role emphasizes real-time data processing, secure data handling, and collaboration with the CTO for scalable cloud integration and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Android Kotlin proficiency and UI development with Jetpack Compose.
• iOS deployment translation from Kotlin architectures (Swift/SwiftUI).
• Cloud: AWS Cognito and S3 for real-time data storage.

Responsibilities

• Real-Time Data Acquisition: maintain and optimize EEG/IMU data capture with precise timestamps.
• Hardware Connectivity: develop BLE (GATT) and USB Serial communication with auto-reconnect and background collection.
• Security & Compliance: implement AES-256 data-at-rest, secure sessions, HIPAA audit logging.
• Cloud Integration: expand AWS Amplify usage with Cognito authentication and S3 storage.
• Signal Processing & Visualization: DSP filters and real-time waveform visualization using MPAndroidChart.
• Data Integrity: offline-first recovery, local queuing, partial upload recovery during drops.
• Regulatory Documentation: contribute to FDA-ready artifacts and Jira/Quality systems alignment.
