Job description

The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mobility Engineer to manage and support our mobile device infrastructure, including Apple iPhones and iPads. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient, secure, and compliant management of mobile devices in a regulated environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Microsoft Intune, Jamf, and experience working within regulated industries, preferably financial services.

This position is based in our Chicago office. We follow a hybrid policy of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage deployment, configuration, and maintenance of mobile devices using Intune and Jamf.
  • Develop and enforce MDM policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Oversee device lifecycle management, including procurement, provisioning, inventory tracking, upgrades, and decommissioning.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement secure configurations, encryption, and data protection.
  • Work with engineering teams on hardware/software compatibility, such as connecting iPads to external monitors, peripherals, and applications.
  • Test and validate iOS updates for compatibility with networks, virtual desktop applications, and critical systems.
  • Serve as a SME on mobile device technologies, providing guidance to end-users, IT teams, and management.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot device performance and connectivity issues to ensure high availability.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance management and security capabilities.
  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, configuration guides, and support materials.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in mobile device management with extensive use of Intune and Jamf.
  • Experience working in regulated environments, preferably in financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of MDM solutions, iOS configuration, Apple Business Manager, and enterprise deployment.
  • Understanding of compliance, data privacy, and security best practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and complex issue resolution abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Scripting and automation experience.
  • Knowledge of VPN, Wi-Fi, and network integration.
  • Understanding of endpoint security and mobile threat defense.

Salary Range

Base: $96,326 - $163,761 USD annually

Total Cash: $110,775 - $188,325 USD annually
