Job summary

Orbis Group is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to be the founding mobile hire on a new Growth team. You’ll own features across iOS and Android, shaping onboarding, subscription, referrals and in-app experiences, and influence the product and architecture as the team scales.

With 5+ years building production mobile apps, you’ll collaborate with Product, Design, Backend and QA, drive testing and code quality, and own experimentation and feature flags using Kotlin Multiplatform + Compose for iOS.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production mobile applications.
• Strong Kotlin and Swift proficiency.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose and/or SwiftUI.
• Ownership of end-to-end projects and ability to make independent decisions.
• Strong understanding of concurrency, OOP and clean architecture.
• Genuine focus on UX, testing and code quality.
• Kotlin Multiplatform experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

This isn’t your typical “maintain our mobile app” role.

I’m working with a high-growth consumer technology company that is building a new Growth team, and they’re looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to be the founding mobile hire.

You’ll have a big say in how the mobile experience is built across the entire customer journey — from first interaction onboarding purchase subscription engagement referral.

And the product has already reached 1M+ families, with the business backed by $125M in funding.
