Job summary

NPR is seeking a Senior Data Insights Analyst, Mobile App, to lead platform experimentation and advanced mobile product analytics. This remote-permitted role, based out of the NPR network, will own data-driven decision making for the NPR App, extracting insights from raw GA4/ Firebase exports in BigQuery and guiding product strategy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of advanced SQL experience: writing complex queries from raw event logs.
• Raw data & array manipulation to create cohorts and behavioral patterns.
• 5+ years of mobile & web analytics across app and web platforms.
• 2+ years of experimentation design with A/B/multivariate tests.
• Data visualization: turning SQL outputs into clear visuals for stakeholders.
• Stakeholder enablement: training partners and promoting self-service analytics.

Responsibilities

• Write, optimize, and QC complex SQL queries using BigQuery.
• Lead the experimentation lifecycle with Optimizely and formalize hypotheses.
• Deliver foundational mobile app analytics and trend reporting to product and stakeholders.
• Mentor teammates and build self-service insight tools for decision-making.
• Collaborate with Data Products to diagnose tracking issues and improve pipelines.
• Prioritize requests by business impact and alignment with strategy.
