Job summary

Atomic Machines is seeking an experienced MLOps Engineer to join our AI and Modeling & Simulation org within Data Engineering. You will build and operate infrastructure from experimentation to production, covering training, deployment, serving, monitoring, and continuous improvement of ML models.

This senior role offers ownership of production ML infra and collaboration across Data, AI, Process, Design, and Software teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience building production software, infrastructure, data, or ML systems.
• Proven experience building and operating ML systems in production with MLOps/DevOps focus.
• Strong DevOps fundamentals: CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, cloud infra, and IaC.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on with MLflow or similar for experiment tracking and model lifecycle management.
• Experience with S3 and lakehouse tech like Apache Iceberg; Airflow or Dagster for workflows.
• Experience building pipelines for multimodal ML data (images, time-series, structured).
• Familiarity with manufacturing systems, sensors, or physical-world data.
• Strong problem-solving, data quality focus, and clear technical communication.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/Data Eng/Data Science (or related).
• Open to multiple levels (L4–L6) based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate MLOps platform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Operate model serving infra for batch, streaming, and real-time inference.
• Create ML data and feature pipelines from telemetry, images, time-series and graphs.
• Maintain data infra incl. lakehouse (Iceberg) on S3 with data quality and lineage.
• Establish model observability and human-in-the-loop feedback loops.
• Develop standardized tooling and workflows for rapid, reliable ML development.
• Collaborate across Data, AI, Process, Design, and Software engineers.
• Drive architecture decisions and scalable ML practices across teams.
• Identify infra challenges and shape production-ready solutions.
