Job summary

Atomic Machines Inc. is hiring an MLOps Engineer to build and operate production ML infrastructure within the Data Engineering and Analytics org. You will own the path from experimentation to production, including training, deployment, and monitoring, while connecting signals back to training.

The role emphasizes model observability, human-in-the-loop feedback, and scalable pipelines for multimodal data in a manufacturing context. Strong ownership and collaboration are key.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production software, infra, data, or ML systems.
• Proven production ML systems experience with MLOps/DevOps orientation.
• Strong fundamentals in CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, cloud infra, and IaC.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on with MLflow or similar for tracking and lifecycle mgmt.
• Experience with S3, Iceberg, and orchestration tools like Airflow or Dagster.
• Experience building multi-modal ML data pipelines and sensors in prod.
• Familiarity with manufacturing or physical-world data systems.
• Clear technical communication and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the MLOps platform and CI/CD from experiment to production.
• Operate model serving for batch, streaming, and real-time inference.
• Create data pipelines turning telemetry, images, time-series into model-ready data.
• Maintain data infrastructure with lakehouse using Apache Iceberg on S3.
• Close the model feedback loop with observability and human-in-the-loop systems.
• Develop tooling and workflows enabling rapid, reliable ML development.
• Drive architecture decisions and scalability across the ML platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define deployment and data needs.
