Unum is seeking a Senior MLOps Engineer to design, build, and scale ML pipelines and platforms, moving models from experiment to production with robust deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.

You will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to expand MLOps into GenAI and AgentOps, implement IaC, and mentor peers while upholding high standards of reliability and governance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, ML engineering, MLOps, or related discipline with production ML experience.
• Strong Python programming skills and software engineering fundamentals.
• Hands-on production MLOps experience across CI/CD, deployment, serving, and monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Hands-on experience contributing to at least one LLM or agentic AI project (POC, pilot, or production).
• Experience with ML lifecycle and platform technologies (Databricks, MLflow preferred).

Responsabilités

• Design, build, maintain, and scale production ML pipelines and platforms for deployment, serving, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Build and improve CI/CD workflows for ML models, including testing, versioning, deployment, and release processes.
• Develop and operate scalable infrastructure supporting real-time and batch model inference.
• Implement monitoring and observability for ML systems (model performance, health, reliability).
• Expand MLOps capabilities into GenAI and AgentOps (evaluation, versioning, monitoring, cost management, guardrails).
• Maintain infrastructure with IaC (Terraform or similar).
• Support ML lifecycle capabilities (experiment tracking, model registries, serving, orchestration).
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to improve reliability, scalability, and maintainability of production ML solutions.
• Drive continuous improvements to deployment, monitoring, platform reliability, and developer experience.
• Establish engineering standards around reproducibility, security, governance, and operational excellence.
• Mentor engineers, contribute to technical design decisions, and establish MLOps standards across teams.
