Job summary

Life360 seeks a Senior II MLOps Engineer to bridge model development and production systems. You will design scalable CI/CD pipelines, deploy ML models, and enhance observability in a fast-paced team of data scientists, engineers, and architects.

You will mature CI/CD systems, optimize distributed infra, and drive AI-native best practices across the ML lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote-first US environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years software engineering, DevOps, or data engineering, with 2+ years in MLOps.
• Strong Python development with tested, maintainable code.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with ML lifecycle tools: MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, SparkML.
• Cloud experience (AWS/GCP), IaC (Terraform), and data tooling (SQL, Spark).

Responsibilities

• Design and manage CI/CD and Continuous Training pipelines for ML.
• Containerize, deploy, and scale ML models as microservices or batch jobs.
• Establish unified logging, monitoring, and observability for models.
• Provision cloud ML infrastructure using IaC approaches.
• Collaborate with product teams to drive SDK/API adoption and maintenance.
• Implement data/model lineage for governance and security.
• Improve data ecosystem with scalable pipelines and streaming (Kafka / Flink).
• Mentor team members and promote AI-native engineering practices.
