Job summary

Knowles Valencia is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to drive high-volume MLCC process development and optimization. You will collaborate with Process and Equipment Engineering, Production & Planning, QA and R&D to ensure stable, high-yield, cost-effective processes at the Valencia CA site.

This role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, data-driven decision making, and capital expenditure assessment to support improvements and OTTP objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Industrial engineering, Statistical or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in semiconductor advanced manufacturing process, process data analysis, MLCC fabrication and failure analysis experience preferred.
• Strong technical skills and proactive problem solving with a commitment to operational excellence.
• Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and communicate across all levels.
• Familiarity with ceramic capacitor process and characterization (mylar tape casting, screen printing, firing, viscosity, testing).
• Familiarity with DOE, JMP, Six Sigma and statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with cross functional teams to lead projects for process optimization and meet schedules.
• Work with Process engineering to achieve monthly yield and scrap targets.
• Lead troubleshooting of integrated processes through data mapping/analysis and derive solutions.
• Create visibility to key metrics including project status, funnel, and process capability measures.
• Evaluate and justify capital expenditures to support improvements.
• Coordinate automation programs to drive productivity.
• Collaborate with Production and Planning to meet OTTP goals and financial objectives.
