Job summary

Meta is seeking a Software Engineer with machine learning expertise to help build and scale ML systems powering apps used by billions. You will design, develop, and optimize ML models and infrastructure across domains such as ranking, recommendation, NLU, CV, or generative AI.

You will work with product, data science, and infrastructure teams to translate research advances into reliable, production-grade systems that influence how people connect and discover content across Meta's apps.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on machine learning systems, model development, or ML infrastructure.
• Experience developing and deploying ML models at scale, including feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and production serving.
• Experience designing and analyzing A/B experiments to validate ML model improvements and drive data-informed product decisions.
• Proficient in production-quality Python/C++ code with maintainable, well-tested ML systems.
• Experience owning end-to-end delivery of ML projects, including technical design and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and deploy ML models for large-scale production systems across ranking, recommendation, and generative AI.
• Develop and maintain scalable ML pipelines for data ingestion, feature engineering, and model serving.
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and infrastructure engineers to productionize ML research.
• Define metrics, dashboards, and alerts to monitor model health and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead design discussions of ML components, balancing model quality, latency, and cost.
