Job summary

NVIDIA in California presents a Senior Machine Learning and Simulation Engineer role focused on building a closed-loop RL framework for end-to-end autonomous driving models. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of professional experience in large-scale ML training, AV systems, simulation and AI infra.
• Deep proficiency in RL algorithms (PPO/GRPO) with hyperparameter tuning and reward design.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python for data pipelines and systems.
• Extensive experience with GPU clusters and HPC environments, using Kubernetes or SLURM.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of large-scale RL training frameworks for AV models.
• Build and optimize simulation and data processing pipelines for scalable training.
• Measure and improve simulation quality and refine RL reward functions.
• Ensure reliability of training workflows on GPU clusters with robust tooling.
• Collaborate with researchers to integrate state-of-the-art architectures into training pipelines.
