Job summary

Amazon Ads is seeking a talented Applied Scientist to advance ML across the advertising lifecycle, from ranking and personalization to measurement. You will work with engineers, scientists, and product leaders to develop scalable models and real-time solutions that influence business strategy through scientific excellence.

You will have access to vast datasets and compute and will lead projects that push the boundaries of AI while balancing advertiser and customer needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building ML models for business applications.
• PhD or Master's with 6+ years of applied research.
• Proficiency in Java, C++, or Python for production ML.
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and ML.

Responsibilities

• Research and implement cutting-edge ML approaches including generative AI and LLMs.
• Develop and deploy ML solutions across ranking, personalization, NLP, CV, and recommender systems.
• Lead end-to-end projects at massive scale with large data.
• Balance stakeholder needs while delivering customer-relevant models.
• Prototype, validate, and deploy models with cross-functional teams.
• Design A/B experiments, analyze outcomes, and measure business impact.
