Prime Video is a leading entertainment platform hiring ML scientists to build foundation models for content understanding and time-series recommendations. You will work on multimodal learning to analyze video/text, and collaborate with engineers and PMs to deploy scalable solutions across Prime Video experiences.

The role emphasizes experimentation (offline/online), publishing research findings, and staying current with advanced modeling techniques in a fast-paced, customer-obsessed environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years of building models for business applications.
• PhD or Master’s with 4 years in CS/CE/ML or related field.
• Experience programming in Java, C, Python or related language.
• Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing.
• Experience using Unix/Linux.
• Experience in professional software development.

Responsibilities

• Develop foundation models for content understanding using state-of-the-art deep learning and multimodal learning techniques to analyze video and text.
• Build time sequence foundation models to understand and predict customer behavior patterns and viewing trajectories.
• Work with engineers and product managers to design, implement and launch end-to-end solutions across Prime Video experiences.
• Design and conduct offline and online (A/B) experiments to evaluate proposed solutions based on data analyses.
• Communicate technical and non-technical ideas with teammates and stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with foundation models, multimodal learning, and time series analysis.
