Job summary

Amazon seeks a Senior Applied Scientist to advance ML/AI capabilities across critical products and services. You will collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and domain experts to define innovative ML/AI powered customer experiences and solutions.

You will mentor junior scientists, deliver impactful results, and stay at the forefront of AI/ML techniques, applying them to scalable systems at Amazon. Day-to-day, you’ll prototype, evaluate, and communicate findings to leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of building machine learning models for business applications.
• PhD, or Master's degree with 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Drive the research, design, and development of novel ML/AI models and systems to power critical products and services.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to understand business requirements, customer needs, and technical constraints.
• Prototype, test, and iterate on ML/AI solutions with data-driven feedback.
• Mentor and grow a team of ML scientists and engineers.
