Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to define and build a Kubernetes-native AI platform for development, training, evaluation, and deployment across cloud, on-prem, and air-gapped environments.

You will work closely with ML researchers, platform engineers, and autonomy teams to balance researcher productivity with platform simplicity and reliability, delivering fast-paced, scalable infrastructure for AI workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience collaborating with ML researchers to translate research workflows into scalable platform capabilities.
• Strong software engineering skills in Python and Golang and modern cloud-native technologies.
• Experience operating GPU-accelerated infrastructure and distributed training systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of Kubernetes-native AI platform for training, simulation, and deployment.
• Partner with ML researchers to support state-of-the-art AI frameworks and distributed training workflows.
• Build self-service workflows enabling local experiments to large-scale distributed execution.
