Job summary

Apple Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Machine Learning Infrastructure and Quality team.

The role focuses on ML training, inference, and characterization, while building infrastructure and automated tests to validate ML technologies across Apple’s stack. The ideal candidate has extensive software development experience, strong ML knowledge, and a solid grasp of OS concepts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with hardware and/or software development lifecycle processes.
• 5+ years of experience in one or more compiled languages (C, C++, Objective-C/Swift).
• Experience with Machine Learning, its practical applications, and commonly used frameworks.
• Understanding of Operating System concepts.
• Proven ability to craft, maintain and implement test plans across all application layers.
• Applying statistical concepts to validate and QA data and models.
• QA and automation experience involving ML workflows is a plus.
• Educational background in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or CS (BS/MS/PhD) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Drive ML workflows including training, inference and characterization.
• Define, measure, and improve quality of ML technologies by building infrastructure, automation and services for validation.
• Develop and implement comprehensive automated test plans across the stack.
• Collaborate across teams to influence quality throughout Apple’s ML stack.
• Advocate for customer needs and deliver high-quality software under tight schedules.
