Job summary

Echo Neurotechnologies is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and scale infrastructure powering massive-scale data, modeling, and analysis platforms. You will own the ML R&D platform and collaborate with domain experts to architect cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and modeling flows for neuroscientific discovery and neural decoding.

The role focuses on developing production-grade ML infrastructure to support rapid experimentation with neural signals

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE or related technical field.
• 5+ years in software engineering or large-scale data infrastructure.
• Extensive proficiency in Python and PyTorch.
• Experience with distributed-training frameworks and large models.
• Ability to partner with research teams to productionize workflows.

Responsibilities

• Create flexible and performant ML cloud infrastructure for massive-scale modeling and analytics.
• Support diverse model exploration, hyperparameter optimization, pretraining, fine-tuning, and evaluation.
• Design scalable distributed training pipelines with model sharding and cross-GPU communication.
• Build and maintain robust ML platforms across the model lifecycle.
• Make architecture decisions balancing performance, cost, reliability, and scalability.
• Design and optimize data platforms and pipelines for scalable data access.
• Enable data ingestion from internal and external datasets with varied formats.
• Ensure reproducibility and documentation of design decisions and evaluations.
