Job summary

Nuro, a leader in autonomous driving, is seeking an ML Infrastructure Engineer to join the team that builds the systems training the Nuro Driver. You will help advance multi-gen accelerators, data pipelines, and agentic ML workflows with a focus on reliability and scalability.

The role requires a PhD/MS/BS in CS or EE with 3+ years of experience, strong Python, C++, Go, and Kubernetes expertise in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field, plus 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Willingness to deep-dive into implementation and raise the technical and operational standards.
• Ownership mindset: drive systems to operational maturity with monitoring and runbooks.
• Strong proficiency in Python and comfort with C++, Go.
• Hands-on experience running production infrastructure on Kubernetes.
• Solid distributed-systems fundamentals and reliability across a complex system.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to training infrastructure across multi-generation accelerators and multi-cluster scheduling.
• Design and operate large-scale data pipelines for batch/streaming ingestion and storage.
• Develop agentic ML workflows—from data to training to evaluation with reproducibility.
• Own reliability for training and release pipelines with monitoring, alerting, and on-call practices.
