Job summary

MSD Malaysia is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead ML/DL and generative AI initiatives within our manufacturing analytics team. You will prototype and deploy advanced analytics products, collaborating with IT, engineering, and operations to scale solutions in production systems.

You will design innovative methodologies, apply ML techniques to monitor and optimize processes, and develop end-to-end digital solutions with a strong software engineering mindset.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with supervised/unsupervised ML techniques.
• Proficient in Python and ML libraries (scikit-learn, TF, PyTorch).
• Experience with feature engineering and EDA for structured/unstructured data.
• Experience tracking experiments and ensuring reproducibility.
• Strong communication and software engineering mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop quantitative methodologies using ML, DL, and generative AI.
• Build tools for process monitoring, optimization, and predictive analytics.
• Develop end-to-end digital solutions and data workflows integration.
• Engage with stakeholders to align analytics with business goals.
• Lead development of analytics apps, platforms, and processes.
