Job summary

Ethereum Technologies is seeking a Data Scientist to own the machine learning sales forecasting capability end to end. You will design, build, and productionize forecasting models that drive planning, inventory, and revenue decisions across the business.

The role involves working with BigQuery and Vertex AI, building data pipelines, and collaborating with Sales, Finance, and Operations to deliver reliable forecasts and measurable accuracy improvements for both short- and long-horizon horizons.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer.
• Strong experience with time series and/or demand forecasting methods.
• Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, and forecasting/deep learning libraries).
• Advanced SQL and experience with BigQuery at scale.
• Experience with BigQuery ML (BQML).
• Hands-on experience with Vertex AI and cloud ML platforms.
• MLOps experience: CI/CD for models and pipelines.
• Solid grounding in model evaluation and statistics for forecasting.
• Ability to explain technical trade-offs to business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build, validate, and deploy ML-based sales forecasting models for short- and long-horizon predictions.
• Engineer features and prepare training data directly in BigQuery.
• Train, tune, and deploy models on Vertex AI with pipelines and endpoints.
• Stand up model monitoring, retraining triggers, and drift/accuracy tracking.
• Partner with Sales, Finance, and Operations to translate questions into forecasting problems.
• Establish forecast accuracy benchmarks and continuously improve them.
• Contribute to data quality, documentation, and MLOps best practices.
