Job summary

Metropolis Technologies in Seattle, WA, is hiring a Senior Manager of Machine Learning Engineering to drive technical vision across data engineering, annotation pipelines, ML infrastructure and deployment of agentic AI solutions. You will lead a high‑performing team, partner with engineering and product to productionize models, and ensure scalable, auditable data pipelines powering our recognition economy.

Base salary ranges from $200,000 to $250,000 yearly.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of data and ML engineering experience in enterprise-scale environments.
• 5+ years in leadership, ideally having managed other managers.
• MS or PhD in CS or a quantitative discipline.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable data infrastructure for computer vision and AI pricing.
• Develop automated annotation workflows to speed model iteration.
• Own the MLOps lifecycle with train/inference pipelines and observability.
• Define technical direction and grow a high-performance ML infra team.
• Productionize agentic AI and VLM/LLM solutions for workflows.
