Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer 5 (Senior Manager, IC) to join Risk Tech. You will design and deploy ML models, build scalable data pipelines, and collaborate with Product and Data Science teams to move AI initiatives into production.

You will work with cloud-based architectures, ensure model governance and responsible AI practices, and contribute to building state-of-the-art AI solutions at Capital One.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS, ML or related quantitative field.
• 6+ years of programming in Python/Java/Golang/C++.
• 6+ years of ML experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• 6+ years operating large-scale distributed systems (Spark, Ray).
• 4+ years deploying ML solutions in production on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy ML models and components with product and data science teams.
• Scale multi-tenant platforms for training and serving ML at scale.
• Inform ML infrastructure choices including data, features, and model selection.
• Write, test, and automate deployment of ML models and code.
• Collaborate in cross-functional Agile teams to deliver AI-enabled software.
• Retrain and monitor models in production; maintain governance and responsible AI practices.
• Leverage cloud architectures to deliver optimized ML models at scale.
