Job summary

J T in Laurel, MD seeks an experienced Software Engineer (Level 2/3) to design, prototype, and enhance compliance analytics and processing systems. You will build automated tools, integrate ML algorithms, and research concepts in an R&D setting, with a focus on predictive models and enterprise data integration.

The role requires TS/SCI with Poly clearance, strong Python/Java/Scala skills, and experience with ML, Spark, and distributed data processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 14+ years of software engineering experience on programs of similar scope, if degree is present.
• 18 years of relevant software engineering experience without a degree.
• Advanced development in Python/Java/Scala in Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and maintain compliance automation tools and analytics.
• Implement, test, and validate ML/AI algorithms in an R&D environment.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and feature engineering on complex datasets.
• Build, deploy, and monitor ML models, data flows, and performance telemetry.
• Integrate MapReduce workflows with backend data pipelines.
• Develop full-stack and analytical software using Python, Java, Scala, Lucene, JEXL, SQL, JSON in Linux.
• Collaborate using Jira, Confluence, Git/GitLab, Bitbucket; document and review code.
