Job summary

Capital One is seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to design, build, and deploy scalable ML models in production on an Agile team. You will collaborate with Product and Data Science, shape infrastructure decisions, and implement CI/CD for reliable releases.

Required: 4+ years in ML with PyTorch/TensorFlow, Python, Java, and cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure) using Kubernetes. Onsite in New York, NY with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related quantitative field.
• 4+ years of experience programming with Python, Java, Golang, or C++.
• 4+ years of ML experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow and libraries Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn.
• 4+ years operating large scale distributed systems (e.g., Spark, Ray) to prepare AI/ML data.
• 2+ years deploying and operating production ML solutions in the cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure), using Kubernetes to manage large scale containerized ML systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver ML models and components with Product and Data Science.
• Shape ML infrastructure decisions including model/feature selection, training, tuning, and validation.
• Write/testing of application code, develop/validate ML models, and automate tests and deployment.
• Collaborate in an Agile team to enable big data and ML applications.
• Retrain, maintain, and monitor models in production.
• Build and leverage cloud-based architectures to deliver optimized ML models at scale.
• Construct data pipelines feeding ML models.
