Capital One is seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer 4 to join our team. You will design, build, and deploy scalable ML models across business units, collaborating with data scientists, data engineers, and product managers to address complex challenges.

You will leverage Python, Java, Golang, or C++ with PyTorch/TensorFlow, Spark/Ray, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) to deliver responsible AI solutions and production-grade systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, ML, Statistics, Economics, OR related quantitative discipline.
• 4+ years of programming experience in Python, Java, Golang, or C++.
• Hands-on with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow and libraries like Pandas/NumPy/Scikit-learn.
• 4+ years with distributed systems like Spark or Ray for data prep and training.
• 2+ years deploying ML solutions in AWS, GCP, or Azure using Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy ML models and components with product and data science teams.
• Apply ML modeling techniques: model selection, feature engineering, tuning, validation.
• Write tests and automate training, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Participate in Agile teams to build state‑of‑the‑art ML applications.
• Maintain and monitor models in production for accuracy and performance.
• Leverage cloud architectures for scalable ML solutions.
• Build data pipelines to support training and evaluation workflows.
• Implement CI/CD for reliable model deployment.
• Ensure governance, risk management, and responsible AI practices.
• Use Python, Scala, or Java to develop scalable ML solutions.
