Discord seeks a Senior ML Engineer for the Safety ML team to build and deploy models for real-time content understanding, risk evaluation, and account integrity.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, policy, legal, and Trust & Safety, deploy production models, and document approaches while upholding ML best practices.

This role reports to the Senior Manager of Machine Learning, Safety; base salary in the US is discussed with equity and benefits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in ML engineering or applied ML roles.
• Strong coding in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch/JAX/TF).
• Experience scaling ML systems to production.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data to identify risk patterns for ML models.
• Build, iterate on, and evaluate models for risk and anomalies.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, policy, legal, and safety teams.
• Curate labeling datasets at scale and improve labeling techniques.
• Deploy models to production and ensure scalability and reliability.
• Document modeling approaches and best practices.
