Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/EE/Applied Math or equivalent ML production experience.
• 8+ years of experience developing and deploying machine learning systems in real-world applications.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar.
• Experience deploying ML systems in production environments (cloud, edge, or embedded).
• Solid understanding of statistics, model evaluation, and performance trade-offs.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices including CI/CD for ML, model versioning, monitoring, and automated retraining workflows.
• Experience working with large, noisy, or multi-modal datasets.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset aligned with Axon’s values.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop multi-sensor fusion and tracking methods.
• Design probabilistic models for radar, RF, optical sensing.
• Develop algorithms like Kalman filters, particle filters, and multi-hypothesis tracking.
• Conduct simulations and benchmark performance under varied conditions.
• Analyze real-world datasets to validate models and improve robustness.
• Collaborate with software engineers to productionize algorithms.
• Publish internal documentation and contribute to IP development.
• Stay current with tracking, estimation theory, probabilistic modeling, and ML research.
