Unity, the world’s leading game engine company, seeks a senior Machine Learning Engineer for its Advertiser Growth team. You will design and ship optimization algorithms for bids, budgets, and targeting, balancing short-term performance with long-term advertiser value in a high-volume, real-time environment.

You will bridge quantitative research and production, mentor engineers, and lead ML/DS initiatives across product and engineering.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in machine learning, data science, or applied research.
• MS or PhD in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, OR, Economics) preferred.
• Hands‑on experience building LLM-based agentic systems and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Multi-objective campaign optimization: design and ship algorithms for advertiser goals.
• Explore–exploitation strategies balancing short-term and long-term value.
• Measure long-term impact with surrogate metrics for short-term signals.
• Define metrics frameworks guiding launch decisions and outcomes.
• Build LLM agent systems to diagnose campaigns and provide recommendations.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration for rigorous ML design and production.
