Sensoride seeks a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to advance radar-based ML for automotive sensing. You’ll work on real-world challenges, developing models for radar signal processing and evaluating cutting-edge architectures on embedded platforms.

The role requires 3+ years in ML research, deep understanding of radar fundamentals, and proficiency with PyTorch/TensorFlow. On-site in San Diego with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years’ research experience in developing machine learning models and applied statistics.
• Strong understanding of radar fundamentals and signal processing concepts.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow; experience with data analysis tools (NumPy, SciPy, pandas).
• Ability to train, build, deploy, and manage ML models for radar applications on platforms like Google Colab, AWS, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced ML models for radar signal processing.
• Evaluate novel ML and deep learning architectures for radar data.
• Develop end-to-end ML pipelines from preprocessing to deployment for radar data.
• Analyze and model radar data in time-domain, frequency-domain, and Doppler representations.
• Implement state-of-the-art ML techniques for radar-based detection and tracking.
• Optimize models for real-time/embedded deployment considering latency, memory, and power constraints.
• Translate research outcomes into scalable, real-world algorithms.
• Support product development through validation, benchmarking, and documentation.
• Act as in-house mathematician/statistician for the team.
