Job summary

USA Tech Recruit is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for a San Francisco-based remote position, with equity and startup dynamics. You will own critical ML subsystems, shipping reliable, production-grade systems that scale and empower a proactive AI assistant product.

You will write robust code in Python using PyTorch or JAX, train and evaluate models, and collaborate with research, product, and engineering teams to deliver real user impact.

Qualifications

• Built and shipped ML systems used by real users.
• Understand how modern ML models behave in production.
• Write production-quality, reliable code.
• Take ownership and push work to completion.
• Learn fast and communicate clearly; iterate continuously.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch / JAX).

Responsibilities

• Build core ML systems powering a proactive AI product.
• Own data preparation, training, evaluation, inference and iteration end-to-end.
• Turn research ideas into working, reliable production systems.
• Debug model failures and system issues using production signals.
• Collaborate with research, product, and engineering teams.
• Mentor other ML engineers through code reviews and guidance.
• Operate under production constraints: latency, cost, reliability, and safety.
