Job summary

Adobe seeks a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join the AI Foundations team in the SDC org. You will design, build, and deploy multimodal models for content understanding, retrieval, and ranking that power Adobe's search, recommendations, and agentic workflows.

You will work with Python, state-of-the-art ML frameworks, and large-scale data to deliver production-ready systems across Acrobat, Adobe Stock, Lightroom, and Creative Cloud.

Qualifications

• Experience building and deploying ML systems in production.
• Experience with retrieval, recommendation, ranking, search relevance, or semantic matching.
• Proficiency with Python and ML services and infrastructure.
• Experience with modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, Hugging Face, Ray, Spark, or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy content understanding, semantic matching, retrieval, and multi-objective ranking models for multimodal content across Adobe products.
• Build representation learning systems using LLMs, vision-language models, embedding models, and multimodal foundation models to improve relevance and content understanding.
• Develop scalable retrieval and ranking systems powering search, recommendation, content discovery, and agentic workflows across enterprise and marketplace content.
• Train, fine-tune, and optimize ML models using large-scale behavioral, content, and synthetic datasets.
• Build evaluation frameworks, benchmarks, and experimentation methodologies to measure relevance, ranking quality, retrieval effectiveness, and user impact.
