Capital One is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to advance ML production systems and scalable data pipelines. You will collaborate with product, data science, and ops teams to design, deploy, and maintain ML models at scale using Python, Java, or Scala.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related quantitative field.
• 4+ years of experience programming with Python, Java, Golang, or C++ and ML using PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• 4+ years of experience with large-scale distributed systems (Spark, Ray) for AI/ML data.
• 2+ years of deploying ML in production and operating cloud-based services with Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver ML models/components with Product and Data Science teams.
• Inform ML infrastructure decisions including model/data/feature selection, training, and validation.
• Write, test, and deploy application code, and automate ML tests.
• Collaborate in cross-functional Agile teams to build scalable ML apps.
• Retrain, maintain, and monitor ML models in production.
• Leverage and/or build cloud-based architectures for scalable ML deployment.
• Construct optimized data pipelines for training ML models.
• Apply CI/CD, testing, and monitoring for reliable deployments.
• Ensure governance and Responsible AI practices in code and models.
• Use Python, Java, or Scala for implementation.
