Bumble Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer, Matching & Recommendations to shape the ML strategy across our recommendations and personalization platforms.

You'll lead production ML efforts, mentor senior ICs, and partner across Engineering, Product, Data Science, and Analytics to turn complex member problems into scalable ML solutions, with a focus on safe, meaningful connections.

Formación

• 10–15 years of hands-on ML experience in production systems.
• Strong Python and ML framework proficiency (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Experience building recommender systems or NLP models.
• Expertise in prompting and fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs) and building production AI Agents.
• Proven ability to lead technical strategy without direct authority.

Responsabilidades

• Define and lead technical strategy for AI and ML across recommendations.
• Design, develop, and deploy production‑grade models at scale.
• Architect end-to-end ML pipelines with Spark and Airflow.
• Drive experimentation and A/B testing to improve model performance.
• Mentor senior contributors and foster Excellence and learning.
