Orcrist Technologies GmbH seeks a hands-on ML Engineer to deploy AI capabilities across text, vision, and audio. You will evaluate open-source models, optimize inference, and productionize solutions with a strong focus on reliability and cost.

Collaboration with Research and Product will turn prototypes into scalable features. Applicants should have 4+ years in ML engineering, strong Python with PyTorch, and experience with LLMs and inference engines.

Formación

• : 4+ years in ML engineering or Applied AI.
• Strong Python skills and experience with PyTorch, Transformers, Hugging Face.
• Experience with LLMs, NLP or generative AI systems.
• Hands-on evaluation of models rather than pure infra work.
• Experience with inference engines like vLLM or SGLang and platforms such as NVIDIA Triton or Ollama.
• Familiarity with fine-tuning, prompting, evaluation, and deployment.
• Understanding of AI model encoding and quantization tradeoffs.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate, compare and integrate open-source models for product use cases.
• Build and improve LLM-based applications.
• Extend AI models via inference optimization, evaluation, and fine-tuning.
• Work with NLP, translation, speech-to-text / ASR, image and document understanding.
• Design evaluation frameworks for quality, latency, reliability, and cost.
• Take models from experimentation into production with packaging, deployment and monitoring.
• Optimize inference performance and operating costs.
• Collaborate with Research and Product to scale prototypes into product features.
• Contribute to ML infrastructure and MLOps while remaining hands-on with models.
