Job summary

Workiva is seeking a Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer to define how AI is architected, deployed, and trusted across our platform at enterprise scale. You will own the AI platform architecture, guide agentic and generative AI capabilities, and lead technical leadership across teams in a regulated, security-conscious environment.

You’ll mentor engineers, collaborate with product and security leaders, and help ensure availability, observability, and reliability of critical enterprise AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years software engineering, including large-scale SaaS platforms.
• 5+ years designing, deploying, and operating production ML/data systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of Workiva’s AI platform and core AI services.
• Lead design of enterprise agentic systems and RAG capabilities.
• Mentor Staff and Senior Engineers and align teams on scalable AI.
• Lead secure AI platform design, governance, and compliance.
