Google is seeking a software engineer to advance AI-generated content and personalized experiences at massive scale. You will own end-to-end ML-driven personalization, integrate evaluation signals, and drive improvements across Discover/Notifications for billions of users.

The role emphasizes leadership, full-stack versatility, and the ability to coordinate across teams to push state-of-the-art ML systems forward.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of software development experience.
• 7 years of leading technical project strategy and ML-focused work.
• Experience building evaluation frameworks for LLMs.
• Experience deploying recommendation systems in production.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of AIGC recommendation frameworks and agentic flows for Discover/Notifications.
• Build offline/online quality evaluation frameworks for LLMs to ensure quality.
• Leverage dense signals and feedback to improve AIGC performance.
• Drive end-to-end personalization focusing on retrieval, ranking, and budgeting predictions.
• Optimize ML inference and resolve bottlenecks for low-latency global surfaces.
