Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking Deep Learning Scientists, AI Researchers, and ML Engineers to advance Safety and Responsibility in Enterprise Risk Management. You will tackle scalable safety for multi-modal LLMs, addressing LLM security, agentic safety, and multi-turn evaluation while collaborating across NVIDIA teams.

The role requires advanced degrees, 8+ years in ML or systems engineering, and strong Python/PyTorch skills with multimodal model experience.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of proven experience in systems software engineering or machine learning engineering.
• Post-Training Experience: 4+ years of hands-on work in post-training of LLMs, including SFT, RLHF/RLAIF, safety data generation, ablation studies, and production deployment.
• Core Safety Expertise: 1+ years in at least one area: LLM Security, Frontier Risks, Agentic Safety, or Multi-turn Safety Evaluation.
• Technical Mastery: Deep ML knowledge with strong Python; PyTorch preferred.
• Multimodal Systems: Experience with large multimodal datasets and models.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving and collaboration.
• Cultural Alignment: Humility, transparency, respect, and intellectual honesty.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation: develop datasets and models to evaluate/benchmark safety-focused tracks.
• Model Pre-Training/ Mid-Training/ Post-Training: create datasets and recipes for data filtering and training.
• Model & system level techniques beyond post-training: research and deploy new approaches.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: partner with engineers, data scientists, and research teams to scale safety solutions.
